desciption of project and glosary

This project is very important for the industry, because the product we are building is a low-energy consumption and very polite to the environment. The crane can be controlled with a manual interface in the computer but also it has the ability to be controlled using a remote control.
This project is going to be very effective because there are not to many low-energy consumption cranes out there, so, is going to reduce the energy consumption but the power efficiency will be the same or even better.
The main problem of this project are what kind of materials we need to use, the materials used has to be of a good quality, strong but at the same time not so heavy so the crane can be in a very good valance, then we think of using 180° servo-motors but we have to “trick” the motors so they can spin 360° instead of 180°.
To make all the interface we are going to use C++ Builder and “Arduino” to program the servo-motors.

Glosary
Compile: translates program written in a programming language

2 Process: set of successive phases of an object

 3 Control: inspection or intervention

4 Orientation: position relative to the cardinal points

 5 Dimensions: measures some object

6 Oblique: the figure is not perpendicular to a plane

7 Scrubber: application that lets you run programs and allowing the user to have control

8 Linker: process of linking object code libraries

10 Coding: message transformation through rules

11 Axis: construction element for guiding the rotation of an object

12 Amplifies: device that magnifies the amplitude of a phenomenon

13 Proportional control: control system linear feedback

14 Polymorphism: property to send messages syntactically

15 Private variables: variables you want to protect your change

16 Cycles: repetition of any phenomenon in an elapsed time

17 Properties: characteristic or condition of an object

18 Circuit: mains supply of two or more components

19 Phenolic plate: copper plate serving as the current conductor

project resume

In this project we archive to build the a little bit more than the 50% of the final project but all the team learned a lot of new things about the inmotic system, also the team feels very satisfied with the results of this project because we reach the main goal that was to finish almost all the project.

The team implemented all we learn in classes about circuits and also electronic and magnetism, we applied also what we learn in the programing class, we learned to use the programing language “ C++ builder”. We now have to finish all the rest of the components and also make all the circuits now in the “Baquelita” to implement it in the final built of the inmotic rom, another thing to complete is the automation of all the components using a programing language to create an interface easy to use for the patient.

Inmotic System

The project that we are developing is very important because it will help a lot of people in the future, and also it can improve the nurse's work. It is very interesting how the inmotic technology works, basically you can have total control of any part of the room or building that has this technology.
we can say that this problem can be solved by bringing this type of technology to all hospitals in the world but also trying to make it less power consumption and more energy efficient and for that we are using an alternative energy that is the case of the solar panels that can give emergency energy to the building if is needed. This will help to reduce the energy consumption because is clean energy and it is better for the environment.

Image
Protoboard
A thin plastic board full of holes used to hold components that are wired together. It is commonly used for prototyping and experimenting with circuit designs.
Resistences
A measurement of the difficulty encountered by a power source in forcing electric current through an electrical circuit, and hence the amount of power dissipated in the circuit. Resistance is measured in ohms.
Circuit
A configuration of electrically or electro magnetically connected components or devices.
Capacitor
A device used in electrical circuits . The capacitor stores an electrical charge for a short period of time, and then returns it to the circuit. Common types of capacitors include tantalum, electrolytic, ceramic, and film capacitors.
Microcontroller
Known as an MCU, a microcontroller is a type of microprocessor that can contain an entire "computer on a chip".
Multimeter
An instrument that measures electrical quantities such as voltage, resistance and amperage.
Photovoltaic Cells
Formerly used exclusively in space, photovoltaic cells convert sunlight into electricity. Photo=Light; Voltaic=Electricity
Relay
A device that responds to a small current or voltage change by activating switches or other devices in an electric circuit.
Sensor
A sensor is a type of transducer. Since a significant change involves an exchange of energy, sensors can be classified according to the type of energy transfer that they detect.
Led

Single pole switch
A switch with one input wire.
Solar cell
A semiconductor device that converts the sunlight into electric energy. Also referred to as a photovoltaic cell.
Paralel port
A cable used to transmit information from a device to another.
Screws
Little metal pieces that are used to attach
Switch
A type of interruptor.
UTP Cable
A bound or sheathed group of mutually insulated conductors.

Motors
The main engine
Soldering Iron
The tool used to melt and apply solder.

Alligator Clips
Used to temporarily hold an electrical connection together for testing or soldering. Often made of nickel plated steel. Can be found with vinyl insulators.
Jumper wires
Cables to conect in the protoboard.
Electric tape
To protect the cables
Cable ties
To attach all the cables in their place.
Light sensor
Used to detect when the light is on or off.
computer
To control all the system.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF USING A BLOG TO LEARN ENGLISH

Bellow i will present the advantages and disadvantages of using a blog to learn english:
  • ADVANTAGES: let you know what level of english you
  • video chat you can talk and listen to english
  • you can contact and share your doubts with other users
  • it combines the advantages of traditional teachings methods with new technologies
  • DISADVANTAGES:
  • words can be misspelled
  • the conversations may be poorly drafted
